‘The Trucker’ in detail. Advanced class in Denim 101. This design is the most recognizable design also known as the ‘Type 3’ jacket. It was introduced in the 1960s. During that time denim was quite popular due to its cool aesthetic. Some features unique to the ‘Type 3’ aka the ‘Trucker’ included: 1. Two chest pockets with pointed flaps. 2. Two slanted (V shaped) seams that run from chest pocket to waist which replaced the knife pleats. 3. Two pockets on the lower abdomen section of the jacket. Our TDC variant of this jacket features colors from the Nigerian Flag, green and white.
