‘The Revolt’ in detail. A brief follow up on Denim 101. The reason we named this jacket ‘The Revolt’ was because the design was created in 1953. During this time denim jackets were considered a sign of youth rebellion. Additionally, celebrities popularized the wearing of denim jackets leading to this design gaining mass appeal. Officially, the design was named ‘Type 2’ and featured the following details: 1. The removal of the cinch back replaced with adjusting loops on the waist band. 2. Two (open) utility chest pockets. 3. The knife pleats. 4. Use of straight seam along the back. With our design we decided to use our logo’s primary colours, black and white.
